Canis is a trimless recessed LED downlight with a deeply recessed light source and a minimally visible light-emitting area. It is designed for plaster-in installation in plasterboard ceilings and provides precise directional lighting with a clean architectural effect.

Intended Use

Canis is designed for fully recessed, plaster-in installation in plasterboard ceilings where a completely frameless ceiling appearance is required. The trimless construction allows the luminaire to blend seamlessly into the surface, leaving mainly the light-emitting area and the deeply recessed reflector visible. The powder-coated aluminium housing supports efficient heat dissipation, while the low glare rating of UGR<14 ensures a high level of visual comfort. The 36° beam angle makes the downlight suitable for accent and directional lighting in interiors with a precisely planned lighting concept.

Applications

Canis is suitable for dry indoor environments thanks to its IP20 protection rating. It can be used in living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, corridors, boutique shops, galleries, hotel rooms, foyers, offices and meeting rooms. The high colour rendering index of Ra>90 makes it suitable for spaces where materials, textures and colours need to appear natural. Triac and DALI2 dimming options allow integration into different lighting control systems and adjustment of the lighting atmosphere according to the function of the space.

Customer Reviews

We installed it in the living room and after plastering, almost none of the fitting is visible, only a clean light-emitting area. The lighting is directional and comfortable, without unpleasant glare.

We used Canis in a gallery to highlight individual paintings, and the colours look very natural. The trimless installation has an exceptionally clean appearance and does not distract from the exhibition.

We installed several downlights in a hotel corridor and the result is very neat and discreet. The black version adds attractive depth, while the light is soft and well focused.
